The Toy Technological Institute (AIJU) has produced the new AIJU Play and Toy Guide 2025/2026

15 June 2026

Why is this Guide different from others?

It is the only Guide based on studies with children and families.

At AIJU, the Toy Technological Institute, they are experts in play and childhood and they

help test the products with the best collaborators in the country.

One of the main objectives of the AIJU Guide year after year is to convey the

importance of play and toys in childhood to society and to ensure that products are

manufactured with higher quality.

AIJU Play and Toy Guide 2025/2026

AIJU presents the new Play and Toy Guide 2025/26, the only publication in Spain

produced from real studies with families and children, and this year in

its 35th edition, it is framed within the 40th anniversary of the Institute, four decades

promoting innovation, safety, and the development of play in childhood.

In this edition, AIJU has focused its research on a topic of special social relevance:

the impact of excessive screen use on children’s health. The study,

conducted with healthcare professionals and families from all over Spain, reaffirms the value of

play with toys as a healthy and necessary alternative for child development.

All recommended products have passed exhaustive psychopedagogical studies

and suitability for use, making the Guide a

valuable tool for both families and professionals in the sector.

Additionally, the Guide includes the Family Choice awards, which are the toys most highly rated

by over 550 families in the categories of Healthy Living, Play for Change

(Inclusion and Accessibility), Sustainability, and STEM.
