ASEPRI, Spanish Association of Children’s Products, with the support of the Valencian Government, launched a Solidarity Campaign in November 2024 to support families with children affected by DANA. This campaign has assisted over a hundred families.
Nearly 30 companies in childcare, children’s fashion, footwear, and toys have donated their products, early childhood toys, transport and pushchair items, furniture, cots and moses baskets, children’s clothing, pyjamas, linen, and wellington boots.
The remaining stock will be donated to the organisation “Together for Life”, a foundation based in Valencia, which has provided assistance for reconstruction and to families from day one. Furthermore, its proximity to the affected area allows for easier access to those in need, who continue to require help.
ASEPRI thanks the companies that have collaborated in supporting hundreds of families in the affected municipalities through the solidarity campaign for DANA, as well as the Spanish and foreign companies that have independently contributed to the affected children’s sector through their donations to NGOs and other platforms.
This solidarity campaign would not have been possible without the collaboration of the Valencian Government and Improving Logistics & Consulting, a logistics centre located in Almussafes, from where the arrival and distribution of donated materials has been coordinated over these months.
The 11th ASEPRI Meeting with the sector will be held this year in Valencia, instead of Madrid, thus reinforcing its commitment and showing its support and solidarity for the damage caused by DANA in the Valencian Community. It will take place at Feria Valencia on 5 June 2025.
