The international buyer consolidates Babykid Spain + FIMI as the benchmark event in the children's universe

The exhibitors at the event, the leader in the children’s world and the only one of its kind, highlight the increase in the number of visitors from 40 countries.

The quality of the exhibitors generated a first class showcase for fashion, childcare, toys and footwear.

Babykid Spain + FIMI has established itself as the benchmark event for the children’s universe, reconnecting manufacturers with professional buyers. This is the general feeling of the show’s exhibitors, who made a very positive assessment of this edition.

Babykid Spain + FIMI, leader in the children’s universe and unique of its kind, closed its doors last Saturday 27th January at Feria Valencia, with a 7% increase in the number of buyers from 40 countries.

María Eugenia García, CEO of Micuna, highlighted the increase in both the number of exhibitors and their quality, both in terms of the product and the presentation on the stand”. For the vice-president of ASEPRI, “we have once again found that meeting point between shops and manufacturers, which has meant that we can say that this edition has had a great result”.

One of the keys to the success of the event co-organised by ASEPRI and Feria Valencia was the increase in the number of professional buyers, promoted by entities such as ICEX and IVACE Internacional. In this sense, Jose Soler, manager of the fashion company Babby highlighed “the large number of international buyers, which has meant that our first participation in the fair has been very positive”, something that Antonio Martín, commercial director, also agreed with.

Gabriella Culotta, from Gruppo Catapano from Italy, who participated in the fair with the Fun&Fun brand, understands that “this fair has been a great surprise, as we have found much more vitality than the previous year”. Tomás Madrona García, from Chupetes Boann, also noticed an improvement “compared to the previous edition”.

Likewise, the consolidation of the trade fair model that unites childcare and children’s fashion was highly valued by the industry, as pointed out by Rodney Duarte, from Portugal’s FS Baby, who underlines that “we are happy because we consider that it is very good to unite fashion with childcare, which increases the total number of visitors”.

Very positive premieres

This edition of Babykid Spain + FIMI welcomed the debut as exhibitors of different national and international firms. This is the case of the aforementioned Babby or the startup Lemoncrib, whose director, Marta Humera, asserted that “we have amply met expectations, because we have found just what we were looking for in terms of visitors”.

Fernando Lascorz, sales director for the northern area of Toynamics, also agreed with the analysis, as “we are quite satisfied with our first edition, in which we have come to expand our range of customers, an objective that we have achieved”.

Objectives achieved

Alicia Gimeno, director of Babykid Spain + FIMI, emphasised that this was “an edition of fulfilled objectives that reaffirms the leadership of Babykid Spain + FIMI in the children’s universe”. For Gimeno “Babykid Spain + FIMI is once again the essential meeting point for the children’s industry, and the formula that unites childcare with children’s fashion has been definitively consolidated”.
